Welcome to ProSoft Apps - Professional Software Applications. I'm Rick Palmer and I run this website. I've been a shareware author since 1996 and a software consultant for over 12 years.
My first program was a civil engineering application called Flow Pro, that I built while working at the Corps of Engineers. Flow Pro calculates water surface profiles, which is helpful for civil engineers who are building open channels or irrigation ditches.The award-winning PC iMail 2006 was my next program, which I built shortly after Flow Pro because I needed a way to send email updates and announcements to hundreds of Flow Pro users around the world.
I wanted each user to receive his own message, so I would literally copy and paste each user's email address into a new email message, and then paste in the message, and then send it on its way. This would take me hours on end, and one day I decided to automate the process.
PC iMail is now used worldwide by businesses and individuals to send personalized mail-merge newsletter, press releases, and email marketing campaigns. It's become very popular for its user-friendly Outlook style interface.
Since then I've partnered with thousands of other software vendors to provide a family-safe download repository with over 28,000 titles. I continually strive to make this a download site safe for your family and mine. If you find an inappropriate application on this site, please let me know and I'll remove it.
I also started another web site called Ricky Says, that's focused more on technology gadgets and software reviews. It's subtitled "Answers and advice from a geek who knows stuff" (a tag line that my wife came up with - she always has great ideas!)
